FLYR Labs Acquires Pribas to Add Dynamic Offer and Order Management Capabilities to The Revenue Operating System®
With Pribas joining FLYR, airlines can take advantage of next-generation retailing capabilities to limit the hold of monolithic PSS systems and advance the customer journey and retailing experience.
Los Angeles & Bad Camberg, DE, September 13, 2022: FLYR Labs, the pioneer of The Revenue Operating System for airlines, is announcing the acquisition of Pribas, an end-to-end offer, order, & inventory management, and retailing solution.
FLYR’s acquisition of Pribas enables airlines and other travel operators to control their distribution strategy, delivering products and services across critical direct channels using next-generation inventory and order management capabilities. With Pribas, airlines can reduce their dependence on legacy distribution systems, accelerate their time to market for new products, and capture market share without intermediaries.
Airlines such as Condor, Flyr and SunExpress, that are using Pribas’ retailing and integration platform, create new fare choices at will and dynamically price and bundle offers to sell at revenue-optimal prices regardless of channel. Fully supporting the latest standards of the New Distribution Capability (NDC), airlines will dramatically reduce their total distribution costs.
Arnulf Pribas, founder and CEO at Pribas, says: “For over a decade, airlines have aspired to become travel retailers. This transformation requires new operating models and the ability to navigate and harness a torrent of real-time data. By joining FLYR, we can directly distribute FLYR’s bucket-less and real-time optimized fares and ancillaries through all channels that our platform provides. FLYR’s system was built for the future that is not bound by legacy Reservation Booking Designators (RBDs), order definitions, or customer records. Together, we can put the revenue-optimal price and products in front of each customer, wherever they are shopping.”
Alex Mans, founder and CEO of FLYR, says: “Slow adoption of cloud-native and AI-driven technology is often caused by a dependence on legacy Passenger Service Systems (PSS), inhibiting innovation across areas such as pricing, inventory and order management, and distribution. Integrating Pribas with The Revenue Operating System from FLYR, our ever-expanding ecosystem of capabilities, enables our partners to personalize shopping experiences and maximize revenue in ways that benefit everyone. With this acquisition, we are expanding our commitment to supporting our clients’ interests as a partner first, vendor second.”
FLYR’s decision intelligence platform, The Revenue Operating System, leverages advanced deep learning technology to provide automated, AI-driven revenue management capabilities that maximize airline profitability and total revenue. By adding Pribas and recently-acquired direct distribution and retailing solution Newshore in quick succession, FLYR is providing airlines with a modernized end-to-end technology stack that meets the needs of an ever-changing business environment. After all, dynamic and autonomous pricing, personalized and frictionless shopping experiences, and tapered reliance on legacy systems are the future.
Founded in 1990, Pribas provides an inventory agnostic airline retailing & integration platform, which can be connected to one or multiple classical Passenger Service Systems (PSS) by means of synchronization or operate as a standalone reservation system using its own integrated, independent inventory. Pribas was granted “Airline Retailing Maturity” status as a System Provider for its Airline Offer & Order Management Solution (OMS), under IATA’s ARM index Program.
The following marketplace and order management capabilities from Pribas will be integrated into The Revenue Operating System:
- Distribution Management
- Inventory Management
- Order Management
- NDC Gateway
