Fly to Trondheim

Norway's largest cathedral Nidarosdomen is almost 1000 years old. It is a fine piece of gothic architecture in the middle of Trondheim center. A must-see on your visit to Trondheim.

Crossing Gamle Bybro (the old city bridge) takes you the Bakklandet. This is the old town of Trondheim, with colorful small houses, cafés and small shops.

See Trondheim from a different angle. Munkholmen (the munk islet) is a small island in the Trondheimsfjord. There has been both a monastery and a fortress in the island. This is a beautiful walking path along the Trondheimsfjord. Follow the path from Ladehammeren and walk east to Rotvollfjæra. There are several cafés close to the path.

Korsvika is a popular place to go for a swim. Remember tanning lotion and to bring a towel.

Trondheim's fantastic forest area with small mountains, swamp lands and an endless number of paths and trails. A real haven for outdoor life enthusiasts!

Take the Gråkallbanen tram to the end station Lian and let the hike begin.
