Palma de Mallorca
The capital of Mallorca has many similarities to Barcelona. Just like the Catalan metropol on the Iberian peninsula, Palma has a beautiful old town with narrow streets full of restaurants, small shops, and lots of bars. Everyday life is imminent, with laundry hanging high above as you walk the alleys.
Palma de Mallorca is a true shopper's paradise. Beside the large El Corte Inglés shopping center, you will find lots of small fashion shops with Spanish and Italian brands. If you like spending your salary on shoes as well, there's plenty to find and bring back home in your suitcase.

Family holidays in Mallorca
Some of the most popular holiday spots for families are found on the north-eastern side of Mallorca. Wide, family friendly beaches with crystal clear water are waiting for you!
The large Alcudia bay has a wide, lovely sand beach, which is lined with first class hotels. If you cross the main road behind these hotels you will find lots of less pricy family resorts that offer a lovely holiday experience. The old town in Alcudia is small yet cosy, with restaurants and small bars.
Port de Pollensa (north of Alcudia) and Can Picafort on the south side are smaller holiday areas with a relaxed atmosphere. If you are looking for a hotel with apartments, the north side of Mallorca is the best place to start looking.

Holiday for adults
If you are looking for that special place for grown ups traveling without kids, we recommend Illetas, Bendinat and Port Soller.
Illetas and Bendinat are located about 10 kilometers outside Palma, and in both these communities you will find several hotels with an adults only policy. There are some smaller beaches and beach clubs in this area. Some of the adult hotels at this coastline have private jetties.
Port Soller is a beautiful small harbour on the north-western side of Mallorca. You can take a tram from Soller to Port Soller - a popular day trip.

Magaluf - beach clubs and party life
Magaluf is the spot for young people. Scandinavians and Brits are especially fond of this party filled village where the evening and the night plays the leading role. The beach clubs feature famous DJs who play house, techno, and main stream music. Looking to rent a cabana in one of the beach clubs in high season? Make sure your credit card is fully loaded first.
After a fun day at the beach, night life takes place in the center of Magaluf. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, Magaluf may not be your first choice, but - hey - if you are up for a holiday with lots of party and fun, this is the perfect spot.
