A beloved destination for decades
Alicante is located in the Spanish region of Valencia. While Alicante is located a good distance north of Malaga, temperatures in the winter are in general a bit higher than those closer to the strait of Gibraltar. Perhaps this is why so many northerners have chosen to settle here with vacation homes or to move here permanently.

Costa Blanca
Costa Blanca is the coastline stretching north and south from Alicante. The area covers almost 200 kilometers of shoreline and it boasts lots of attractions. How about visiting Terra Mitica park in Benidorm or the beautiful bays Altea and Calpe?
As everywhere in Spain, this part of the country has its fair share of small, picturesque villages. Just south of Benidorm you can visit Villajoyosa. This tiny town is known for its old town and the locally produced chocolate.
Golfers have lots of options in the region with more than 20 golf courses at their disposal. With an average of more than 300 sunny days per year, remember to bring your shades and sun lotion.
Fair pricing and excellent food is as always a good combination. This is the case for this part of Spain as well, making Costa Blanca and the inlands worth a visit.
